“Holiday Cheer” opens the 2024-2025 season. This concert has been a hallmark of the COS season since its inception in 2017. The featured artist for the concert will be Hanna Brammer. “Don’t miss the opportunity to see this promising young artist in action” wrote The Tennessean. Ms. Brammer will sing Mozart’s brilliant motet Exsultate Jubilate which he composed when he was only 16 years old. The work was composed shortly after Christmas in 1772 and is considered Mozart’s first masterpiece. Ms. Brammer will also sing arias by Johann Sebastian Bach and Luigi Cherubini.
The program will open with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Puccini's Chrysanthemum. Holiday selections on this concert include Zamir Bavel’s “Hanukkah Light” and Bill Holcomb’s "Christmas Wishes.”
